ATLANTA – The WNBA Finals schedule has hit another snag.

Barring a last-second change by the league, Game 6 is currently scheduled to be played at the Atlanta Dream's home venue, Gateway Center Arena, which seats roughly 3,500 patrons, multiple people with direct knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports. The people spoke under the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

The game is currently scheduled to be played at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 29. The best-of-seven series is tied at 2-2, meaning a sixth game is guaranteed. Game 5 will be played at 8 p.m. ET Monday, Oct. 26 at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Options to have Game 6 at State Farm Arena, which seats more than 17,000 people, have yet to be agreed upon and approved by parties involved in the decision-making process, including the Dream, the Golden State Valkyries and the WNBA and NBA.

The Valkyries appear to be on board to shifting the Game 6 location, day or time.

"We're proud to be part of such a compelling Finals and love seeing the growth of the game. We fully support what's best for the league and will stand behind whatever it decides," a Valkyries spokesperson told USA TODAY Sports Sunday.

During the Finals, the parties worked together to move Game 3 and 4 to State Farm, home of the Atlanta Hawks, prior to the championship series. The moves required dates and times to shift for those matchups in order to accommodate the games. Game 3 was moved from Oct. 22 to Oct. 21 and Game 4 required the Dream to play at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 24, while the Hawks moved their 8 p.m. ET matchup that day back 30 minutes.

However, Game 6 could prove a bit more tricky. The Hawks plan to play the Cleveland Cavaliers the same day as Game 6 and moving that game would require more changes, including moving the Cavaliers vs. Hawks game to an entirely different day or moving the date of Game 6 for the Valkyries and Dream.

It remains unclear where all parties will land.

A WNBA spokesperson told USA TODAY Sports in a statement: "We continue to explore all options."
