The incident unfolded entering Turn 1 during the Xfinity 500, when Logano's No. 22 Ford made contact with the rear of Bell's No. 20 Toyota. Bell was then knocked into Hamlin's No. 11 Toyota, sending both Joe Gibbs Racing drivers spinning.
The caution came at a particularly difficult time for Hamlin, who had already lost ground during an earlier round of green-flag pit stops.
Despite the double spin, both drivers were able to drive away from the incident and remain in the race.
Hamlin's Toyota sustained damage to its left-rear quarter panel, while Bell's crew reported that the No. 20 appeared to be in good condition.
The contact added to a difficult stretch for Joe Gibbs Racing. Earlier in the race, a caution triggered by Carson Hocevar's spin in Turn 4 had disrupted the pit cycle, leaving Hamlin a lap down and Bell facing a pit-road speeding penalty.
Now, both drivers had been involved in another incident, this time through contact with Logano.
While Hamlin and Bell dealt with the aftermath, the yellow flag delivered a significant break to Kyle Larson.
Larson had been running one lap down, but the caution made him eligible for the free pass, allowing the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet to return to the lead lap.
It was an important development for Larson, who entered Martinsville leading the Cup Series standings with the championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway still to come.
For Hamlin and Bell, the latest incident was another obstacle in a race where pit strategy, cautions and track position had already produced major swings in the running order.
Neither driver was eliminated by the contact, but the sequence left both facing more work to recover before the checkered flag.
