The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Brought Fun Back to Fashion

Save this story Save Story Save this story Perhaps it was the spirit of Halloween weekend in the air, but this week’s Hollywood red carpets zeroed in on one particular word: Fun . A-listers were not afraid to experiment and play this week—choosing statement pieces such as theatrical headgear and off-kilter silhouettes that injected their looks with a sense of lightheartedness.

Take Elle Fanning at the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping. The actor channeled Effie Trinket in a three-dimensional Robert Wun pink couture ballerina gown, complete with a pillbox hat with another ballerina dancer on top. We love whimsy! When dealing with a blockbuster as gargantuan as The Hunger Games , you’d hope the stars go all-out with their fashion choices; Fanning’s co-star Whitney Peak did just that, hitting the step and repeat in a multicolored, patchwork Chanel gown with a sweeping chiffon skirt.

Equally as good? The (surprisingly star-studded) Airbnb.org gala in L.A., where Charlize Theron turned heads in a bright green fringed Givenchy by Sarah Burton gown, while Adela went sleek and sexy in her Saint Laurent black gown with cutouts at the bust. Greta Lee, meanwhile, wore a color-blocked Lii gown—the designer who recently won the 2026 CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund. Leave it to a red carpet star like Lee to have her finger on the pulse of fashion’s next big thing.
